The times are changing, it's happening slowly, but make no mistake about it, it's happening. There's a gentle wind blowing in Coral Gables, a nice breeze that makes you feel good.
The former mighty Hurricanes were absolutely embarrased last night by the University of Virginia 48-0, in "the U's" last game at the Orange Bowl, in front of many former UM players. And this is a Virginia team that had beaten its opponents in its last 4 wins by an average of 1.25 points per game. It was the biggest shutout loss in Orange Bowl history. That's right, in Orange Bowl history. What a way to go out!
There's still time for UM recruits like Jacory Harris to de-commit from UM and enroll at the up-and-coming University in Miami -- Florida International University. You'll likely win more games in your career and receive a better education while doing so. FIU stands for Football Is Up-and-coming.

Wow. 48-0...Pretty sad for a proud team on their last game at the OB. Unbelievable.

UCG looked like crap last night. It was quite obvious that the team did not care if they won the game or not. There was no enthusiasm. There was no excitement. There was no passion. It was a perfect example of just how bad UCG is now. The UCG faithful wants to blame it on the QB, or lack thereof; however, the last time I checked the QB is not on the field with the defense. The worst shutout in the history of the Orange Bowl is exactly what they deserved.
Now, it is up to us to turn the lights out with a victory. Wouldn't that just burn a scar on the hearts of the UCG fans?

I kind of feel bad for them, 48-0?! That's so painful, for a game that everyone had eyes on. Noone's going to take them seriously for a long time now, especially with their move up to Dolphin Stadium. I already know a lot of people who aren't going to buy tickets for UM anymore, and move to FIU instead. I have a feeling FIU will start to become the "new UM", taking the local fans. It's sad for them to lose like that, ouch.
P.S. I didn't watch the game but did anyone end up rushing the field at the end or no? I know it was all over their newspapers saying "save the field for FIU". What happened?

I saw some of the replays and they did look lethargic. Their team might be going through the same thing as ours, the new coach is a disciplinarian. They may still qualify for a bowl. They will be a formidable team once they find a QB.
What that school does have is recruiting appeal they have another good class coming in. They are had a good recruiting class last year and already received 21 more commitments this year, 18 are from Florida; 3 are QB's. (18 are 3* 4* and 5*) . They are beating most of the other schools in the country in the recruiting wars.
We also need to recruit 3* 4* and 5* athletes.
Our 6 commitments are 1* 0* or not even identified by scout.com. They will need to redshirt a year before we can put them on the playing field.
