Well, thanks to an inadvertent bump in the Marlins Stadium thread, my curiosity in the Performing Arts Center was again peaked. It is now becoming apparent that the Performing Arts Center is losing $3.7M per year. This is due to greater than expected overhead and low TICKET sales (who'd a thunk it). On top of that, we are being asked to shell out another $13M in cost over runs, so that the final ticket price (yeah, right) for our $70M performing arts center will be a staggering $473M. Don't forget that the Herald made a cool $190M by selling property adjacent to the PAC; hmm , can anyone say INAPPROPRIATE USE OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD. Thanks again Miami Herald. Most major cities have a performing arts center. In fact, most cities half the size of Miami have a performing arts center. While it is expensive, we now have a world class facility and are already seeing more and more groups pop up that will use the facility. Then again, as a musician, I am biased

As a baseball fan, I'm biased too. ;D
