....for FIU's College of Medicine. They are also supporting a 5% tuition hike, while some legislators strongly supporting both, UCF and FIU's Med Schools. For FIU, out of the $5.5 million that Gov. Crist proposed FIU to lose this year for its Med School, the house plan only calls for $212,000.00 in cuts. If that is the worst in cuts, then the Med School is still pretty much in intact form.....It appears, if this comes to fruition, we have weathered the first storm for the Med School.... Not bad, not bad. I'm very happy, that's really great news for the university as a whole and especially for the College of Medicine!
