Thanks...Very interesting site...Be sure to post your comments and recomendations to the Office of the President in regards to all which is FIU....including Athletics....I just read the story of the father of Chris Lucido....I wish our admissions office would really review his file and deem him fit for FIU!!!

I'm glad to see the administration is heading in the right direction for the future of FIU, and planning for a great 50th! I do however want to know when the Molecular Biology and Social Sciences buildings are going to start construction. They've been fully funded since 2005 and their land has already been designated since but they still haven't started them! My guess is they may be waiting for the Business School Buildings and Frost Art Museum to finish. Anyone know anything on these buildings?!
By the way, what's the status on the "recreational field 5" by the Panther Garage. Last time I was on-campus about a month ago, it was still getting "built". Has it been finished yet, anyone know?

Another interesting tidbit of information is the message by the FIU Board of Trustees and FIU Foundation Directors, where it supports the 'vision' of Dr. Maidique for FIU in year 2015. In it, Maididque forsees an endowment of over $400 million (4 or 5 times what we have now) and external Research Grants of over $200 million (about double of what we have now). Both figures would catapult FIU into the position we all want to be in terms of dollars and cents in those aspects. Of course, we have even a longer road to go after that, but wow.....

Yeah, our endowment right now is $91 million, $400 million would be great and well-deserved.
