FIU sophomore to be standout, Yarimar Rosa, and newly signed recruit, Natalia Valentin are in Thailand playing in the Junior Volleyball World's Championships (Under 20). Puerto Rico is now 0-3, losing to #2 World Ranked Italy in 4 sets and to Ukraine in 3 sets, just coming off a loss to Croatia in 5 sets. In this latest game, Rosa broke Puerto Rico's international record of any women's national teams' record of 38 scored points, breaking the old one of 32. This is all the more impressive since Rosa wasn't supposed to even play in the tournament, or perhaps very limited, since she sustained an ankle injury just prior to the tournament. She did not play in the first match, and just some in the second against Ukraine. Good luck to Yarimar and to Natalia!!!... www.fivb.org/EN/Volleyball/Competitions/Junior/Women/2007/Press/Matchinfo.asp?Phase=2&sm=14
