fiupike- there were a lot of pikes there. I saw atleast 15. More than any other organization, or it looked that way cause they all had their jerseys on. They did make a later entrance though so they were standing next to the student section for a bit before they were told to go up top and find seats... A good number of us were out there. Some in Jerseys and some in FIU gear. We started tailgating at about 5:30 in the parking lot by the Tennis Courts. I, for one, am always pushing my brothers to be more supportive of FIU Athletics. I've scheduled brotherhood events for Baseball and Basketball in the past and have planned tailgates for every single home Football game since the beginning of the 2005 season. We like to say that we're avid supporters of FIU sports. GO PIKE! GO GOLDEN PANTHERS!

I don't think it was a lack of attendance by students, alums and community. It was the seating arrangement. I was seating in my reserved seat. There was this lady behind me with two children. I guy with a scUM t-shirt came and sat on a seat by her. She told him that the seat was hers and her husband would be there shortly. He told her that once he came, he would move out. I turned around and told him, hey, those are her seats. He said something derogatory and sat somewhere else. I guarantee you, he did not have reserved seating tickets. Throughout the game, FIU athletic administration came by to say hello to him. I'm talking about FIU athletics administration. I truly believe scUMs were given preference before our student body. I did not like seeing all those scUM fans seating in the reserved while our students and fans where in the nose bleed section. Something is very wrong with this, I don't know how, but they were given preference.

accommodating their former colleagues and friends at UM was a higher priority than the FIU supporters...the UM allegiance is very strong in the FIU athletic department and was evident sat night...seems to be a conflict of interest if u ask me...I’ve also herd many of them are just using FIU as a stepping stone to eventually get back to the U.. I guarantee that not one of the FIU administrative staff has the passion and love for FIU that some of the posters on this board express..think about it, their passion lies across town...many of them, especially ones recently hired, either worked, went to school, or coached there...how many have true FIU roots? Having been courtside at the game on Saturday night JDSippin I would love to know what proof you have about all the accusations you are making? I have a question, how many basketball games have you been to this year before Saturday night? Because before this Saturday night, our biggest crowd was just over 1,000 fans against USF and that is something we should be getting in a minimum for all home games with as many students as our school has. So before you go blasting the administration, take a look at your school mates. I know on this board there are alot of people on this board that are students and supporters of FIU athletics, but I just wish there were more of them around campus.

Exactly. I hate seeing people wearing UCG crap (or any other school in general) on campus, and I am talking about FIU students. Pikedanny, great job on getting your brothers out to the games. We need more people like you to keep the Greeks involved in showing their FIU pride.

We need more people like you to keep the Greeks involved in showing their FIU pride. Although I must say, FIU students have gotten A LOT better about this recently. A lot of people wear FIU products and especially now that it's winter, it seems that everyone has an FIU hoody. I see tons of FIU hats, shirts especially, and even more FIU stuff out on the road. Just today I saw THREE FIU license plates parked in the same row in Downtown, I was very happy to see that lol. Even though there is the occasional other school crap (mostly UM), I can definitely say FIU students are way better with this, and wear FIU stuff 8 out of 10 times on-campus. GO PANTHERS!
