Just finished watching the game... The team has a lot of talent but needs to start being more decisive when driving the ball. Galindo's shooting was off tonight, but Fuller and White made up for it by making some nice shots. Hicks seems to bring more to the team than just height. He has a decent fade away shot and can easily dunk on anyone. He just needs to be more aggressive. There were many opportunities when he could have dunked the ball and hyped up the crowed, but he instead attempted little lay-ups (on which he missed a few easy ones). Never the less, this game brings us our first regular season Win. We are undefeated lol!!! Lets keep it up! GO FIU!

Yes! We are undefeated....I must say, the Panther Pass is a blessing for those of us that don't live in Miami. I'm so glad I can not only listen, but now watch them online, which by the way was a very good broadcast in terms of not "freezing"....

Fanatic, the team looked pretty good last night. With Hicks, we have a real Big man presence on the inside. With Galindo we have the Forward position covered and with the #11 (don't know his name yet) we have a dynamic scorer. On top of that there are a lot of very good athletes on the team.
One thing I did notice is that the team does not yet appear to have an identity. Are they a run and gun team, are they a defensive team, are they a half court team? They seemed to do all of this last night to varying degrees of success.
On the positive, I noticed the team did very well when they fed the offense through Hicks and/or Galindo. These two can score down low and do a nice job of finding the open man. We hit a handful of three's but no one person in this game looked like the one scary sharp-shooter you want to help extend a defense.
Anyways, we could have won by 20+ but it looked like we started running out of gas half way through the second half. Conditioning is one thing we are going to have to work much harder on.
