Another success story from an alumnus: Raja Bell was at it again - frustrating his favorite nemesis Kobe Bryant. His stat line: 7 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals while playing 38 minutes. Sure, Kobe dropped 31, but was obviously agitated while Raja was covering him. The Suns won 113-100 and now hold a 3-1 series lead. Since our hometown Heat is out, I am pulling for Raja and the Suns. sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270429013

Well, count me in too as a new Suns fan. Arroyo's season is over as well, so we only have now one FIU alumn to represent FIU in the NBA Playoffs....Raja has become a household NBA name.
Go Raja!!

The Suns won the series and move on to play the Spurs. Our man Bell is apparently a new father and played on a few hours sleep. Congrats to Raja and his wife. msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/6769934?MSNHPHMABryant - defended by new father Raja Bell - scored 34 points but was just 13-of-33 from the field. Bell was playing on precious few hours of sleep after spending the night at a hospital, where his wife gave birth to their first child six hours before Wednesday's tipoff.
