The FIU Law Moot Court team advances to the National tournament after finishing 2nd in the SE Regional. FIU finished 2nd to U of Georgia and advances with the top-2 from 13 other regions. Not bad huh. FIU LAW SCHOOL TEAM ADVANCES IN TOURNEY The moot court team from Florida International University's School of Law will be heading to New York in January to compete at the national level after placing second in regionals. FIU's 3-year-old law school, which has yet to graduate its first student, beat out teams from the University of Miami , Mercer University and Georgia State in Atlanta on Friday and Saturday. Members of the team are third-year students Bobby Hutson, Britney Green and Jennifer Remy. They are coached by fellow student Natalie Inchaustegui and Professor David D. Walter. The team lost only to the University of Georgia, but both earned berths in the national tournament, where they will compete against the top two law schools from 13 other regions.
