The FIU Administration will be making its Medical School proposal to the Florida Board of Govenors this afternoon (http://news.fiu.edu/releases/2004/11-08-04_medicine.htm).
An interesting timeline can be found at this site (http://health.fiu.edu/download/proposal/medical_timeline.doc); suffice it to say that if approval is granted by the Legislature this Spring, FIU could open the doors to its Medical School in the Fall of '07. Considering we're only a few months from the beginning of '05, that 'aint too far off.
