I put this up on another board. But I thought I would get a little more traffic on this one. Anyway let me know what you guys think of I disagreeessment......
A couple of points(players) of interest:
IMO the kid that everyone should look out for is a RB by the name of Darriet Perry check out his highlights > www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLJ1leHYfSk&feature=related <
The one thing you'll notice about him is that he has incredible balance and shiftiness. Though he lacks the top end speed, he can certainly become a play-maker for this FIU squad.
I had the opportunity to ask a football player what he thought was the best recruited position, he responded by saying the DB's. Two three star safeties Marcelus Manier and A.J. Grant. They are described as head hunters, and after losing four DB's to graduation it was definitely the right medicine to patch up the secondary. Jercorey Quarterman (who played safety in HS) and Emmanuel Souarin (the only true-HS corner in the class) will also help to cover-up the holes in the defensive secondary.
Overall, this class of 24 players features many players who can become the cornerstones of this program.
This class is full of winners. Kambriel Willis, Jonathan Jackson, Winston Fraser and Franklin Brown of Booker T. Washington (FL) (ranked as the 4th best HS team in the nation by ESPN) ended their senior careers as the 2007 Florida high School state champions. Darriet Perry of Lowndes High School (GA) won 2 state championships.
There are a couple of big boys coming to help out the O-line as well. The biggest (literally) addition of this years class is a JC recruit out of El Camino C.C. (though he was originally from Florida) by the name of Cedrick Mack. He is a 6'4", three star recruit (one of four for the Golden Panthers) who tips the scales at over 335 pounds, he most likely will play at offensive tackle.
