def. objective - impartial, unbiased; subjective - slanted, prejudice.
Well, the lead sports writer of the Miami Herald finally admitted today what long-time Miamians have suspected for years, he is not objective (http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/columnists/dan_le_batard/9268661.htm). In other words he's there to schmooze the local sports community and then write flattering articles for his fans and to defend his favorite interests.
If this can be admitted within the sports section can it not then be argued that the rest of the paper is written by 'subjective' columnists and that everything that is reported in the Herald as 'news' may actually be someone's slant on a particular position? I think this proves that the Herald's credibility as an objective source of news leaves something to be desired.
So from now on when you read the Herald, try to think about their hidden agenda; sometimes it's buried deep and sometimes it's right there on the surface.
THE HERALD ADMITTEDLY IS BIASED![/size]
