It'll be my first time this far down in Florida, and I thought I might ask my SunBelt brethren about good places to eat. ;D
Also, my wife will be in meetings for the first couple of days and I'll be looking for things to do with my 6 year old. My daughter is looking forward to seeing the ocean for the first time, but there's only so much of the beach my fair skin can take.
I realize this might fit better on a FAU board, but I don't know of one. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have attached the FAU Sports message board link. I could tell you where to go in Miami, but it's a very different place up in Boca fausports.proboards25.com/

Hey Fanof49ASU, You can go to FAU's message board @: fausports.proboards25.comMaybe they can help you out. Although, I do know of a seafood place that I recently went to not too long ago called "Legal Seafood" that was pretty good. You can look up the location with directions of how to get there on the web. There is also a nice multi-plex movie theatre right off of I-95 and Glades Road called "Palace Muvico 20" with a miniture golf course right next door. Hope this helps, and let us know anytime you come down to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area where I know us fellow Sun Belt fans can help you out. ;D

Thanks guys, I did post the same message on their board as well.
I will find that "Legal Seafood" and the theater/mini golf would be great for the daughter. Many thanks!
We're flying down Friday morning, so I'll keep checking back for other suggestions. We're staying for 5 days, and I plan on leaving stuffed from FRESH seafood.

I meant to check back with you guys after the Florida trip, but I had another week of family camping in the Great Smoky Mtns that I just finished.
Boca Raton is just what I guessed it might be...Incredible! Although my choices of restaurants were detoured due to my wife and her business meetings, I managed to make it to Bostons (Delray Beach).
The view at Boston's was outstanding! We waited for the 2nd floor balcony, and it was worth the wait just for the view. I had a pretty good lobster tail, while the wife had Grouper. The only thing bad to report, was my wife's margarita. It was the absolute worst she's ever had. I guess it's geared more towards the college crowd and their lust for alcohol.
The other nights, we went out to eat with a Rep. from a factory that my wife was visiting. First night was at Ocean 234. Once again, great view and very good food. Second night, Busches Seafood in Delray. Man! This is a great restaurant!!!!!! I just wish that I'd ordered the lobster tail here, but I had the absolute best fried shrimp that I've ever had, or can hope to ever have. Third night we ate at Boston's. Fourth night we were headed back to Busches, but opted to eat at the hotel restaurant due to exhaustion.
I didn't make it to FAU, Caps Place or the air boat ride as planned due to wife's extremely tight schedule, but a return trip will be in order in the near future.
BTW. I saw the most beautiful woman (outside of my wife of course) that I've ever seen at the Boca Raton beach. You guys are extremely lucky.
Thanks for the tips.
