Yeah, FIU was included in both March Madness and in ESPN College Hoops. I have College Hoops and use them all the time, although, in the ESPN game they still have our old logo.

My first impressions are in after having the pleasure of picking up the game today and playing with it for a couple of hours. I was able to choose FIU as my favorite team which means that every time you turn on the system, you have the pictures of the players running and the logo in the background. The logo is dead on and it is displayed in the middle of the field; unlike the real field (and I think it looks much better)! The endzones are a bit disappointing because they only have plain white letters that say FIU w/o any colors present in the endzone. But whatever. The Cage is pretty good looking, except the endzone bleachers are not present. Instead, they are replaced with angled hills with fans sitting on them and cheering. They do have tents in the background (endzone) to simulate the Alumni Tent which is pretty cool. But I think the whole stadium setup is generic for all I-AA teams because I played at a very similar when playing against Youngstown State. The stadium is similar to ours because it has a track around it and is close to the stands. The cool feature is that the schedule is dead on (which means that the new I-AA teams that are added include all the teams that FIU play against) except for the Jacksonville Dolphins which are classified as a generic I-AA Southeast team (however it's pretty funny that their team has the same colors (Green & White). The helmets are pretty cool except that the logo is a little bit different (imagine FIU spelled out in Times New Roman text and put on a helmet). More to come..... ;D

(Trying to keep the post short) ...........I really like that when choosing FIU, they have included FAU as a rivalry game! This really brings the fans out to fill up the stadium. I have NOT seen FAU's stadium yet, but our stadium is called FIU Community Stadium and is located in Miami (like the real thing). The coach favors Coach Strock. You can put a visor on him in the options menu. The fans are really cool with painted faces and FIU logo shirts on. I haven't had the chance to play a dynasty game just yet and I haven't been able to see all of our opponents just yet. But I do know that they are included from McNeese State, Western Kentucky, FAMU, FAU, and Georgia Southern to Stephen F. Austin, etc. The team is not without it's glitches which include a terrible kicker who couldn't score if his life depended on it (so you will have to boost up the players ratings like ASAP). The players do look like the real team (well, as close as the game could get) from Nick Turnbull #21 to Jamie Burke #13. All you need to do is rename them. There is also a feature that frustrates an opponent when playing in places like the Orange Bowl due to the fans screaming. Makes you salivate for a bigger stadium at University Park to get the same effect. The announcers even say our school name and FAU is identified by this logo: Overall, the game is a big improvement from those of the past and is worth buying if buying for FIU/FAU alone. I haven't discovered all of the features just yet but will update you when I do. You'll be pretty satisfied and it will make you proud to be a student or alum when you see the school logo. ;D ;D P.S. Maybe other members could share their perspective with us all to give a different point of view....

I have to agree with what ARod posted about the game. FIU's uniforms and logo look great, but the stadium is different than the Cage and sadly it doesn't include our fight song. I just started the Dynasty and replaced that Southeastern I-AA team with Furman, just to play someone more known. I renamed almost all of the players to their actual FIU counterparts.
So far i'm 2-0 in the season, I beat Furman and Youngstown State. Furman was tougher than Youngstown but I did get by both of them on All American difficulty. Next I play Western Kentucky and then Lousiana Lafayette, I want to see how I stack up against a I-A team. FIU is not a very good team so it should be quite a challenge to get good with them (something I like). I've had trouble passing the ball consistently but I will probably get better with more practice.
Padrick, Haritan and Barnes are some of the highest rated players on FIU. I've had to scramble quite a bit with Padrick because our O-line isn't too great. I do like that FAU is our natural rival in the game. I do wish we could substitute our selves in the Sun Belt conference but that won't happen unless you get an invite from them during your dynasty.
You guys should definitely check this out if you want to have something to hold you over until football season. It's a good game and it's great to finally be able to play with FIU ;D

Got the game yesterday too...pretty tired this morning that's for sure. As everyone has said, the uniforms look great and I think the Cage looks pretty decent considering we were playing 1aa and they probably didn't visit the stadium. I do think the Alumni Association should be very proud of themselves that their tailgate tent made into the game! We all have no idea how great it is that FIU made it into this game, expecially as a D1 Independent. Now everyone who likes and plays with Notre Dame will see FIU as well. It's amazing how a game like this will start giving FIU a name in the football world, there are tons of schools I've never seen play on tv or heard their names on ESPN which I recognize because of this game franchise. The team player ratings are misereable, but that's nothing a victory over Miami won't help fix in recruiting!

Running backs and linebackers are bad asses in this game! I played a dynasty and ran all over people and no one get jack diddily squat on me running the ball!

Passing in this game is really tough. YOu really have to have a good eye for the open receiver. In addition, be sure to press the Y button (Triangle button on ps2) as your receiver is about to catch the ball, it gives you a much better shot at catching it.
