Some positive news for FIU fans, I just found out from a poster on www.operationsports.com that FIU and FAU are both included in this years version of the game. Neither school has been included in the last few games but this year we are both in. I can't wait to check FIU out. Someone posted the ratings for FIU which go like this for each position: Overall Rating:55 QB:61 RB:69 WR:59 OL:59 DL:59 LB:60 DB:72 ST: 55 Key Offensive Player: QB#10 spd 76 awar 68 tp 76 ta 74 Key Defensive Player: FS #1 spd 78 awar 68 catch 59 tkl 56 Player to watch: FB#6 spd 72 awar 52 catch 52 rb 56

How come there is not a PC version of this game like the Madden series. I was looking forward to playing the game, but now its looks like I have to buy a console if i want to play it. Can anyone post some screenshots of FIU to see how they look like.

Nice! I wonder if we're in the SunBelt and if the Cage actually looks real? Now I don't have to create them anymore!

The game comes out the 13th or 14th of this month so early next week. I don't know how they look yet, hopefully it's pretty accurate. If they have us listed as I-AA schools we can always move Utah State and Idaho out of the Sun Belt and move in FAU and FIU into the conference.

The game is released on the 12th. I am wondering if they are going to include the FIU fight song...

Gentlemen, This makes every penny spent on football worth it! I m going to buy a Playstation 2 just so I can play this game. I'm holding my breath until I am sure that they dont have our colors wrong or call us the Golden Griffins but when that game powers up it will be a dream come true (background music please) NY Panther

I should have it by the middle of next week, it comes out the 13th, the 12th is actually the day it ships from warehouses. The game is released on the 12th. I am wondering if they are going to include the FIU fight song... While it would be very cool to have the fight song, I don't think that would make it in. Too bad this game doesn't take advantage of the fact that you can put your own songs on the Xbox, i'd put FIU's fight song in manually.

When are Xbox2 and PS3 coming out? I know the rumors have thrown all kinds of dates around. Is sometime 2005 still the primary answer?

Which is the better system to get, X-box or PS2? Just depends on what types of games you like. If you're asking which to buy right now i'd probably tell you to go to game sites like IGN and look at the top rated games for both systems, see what interests you more. I have an Xbox because I like to play online and Xbox Live is perfect for that, in addition, the Xbox has a hard drive so that you don't have to worry about memory cards. However, PS2 has a much larger variety of games right now and is the more popular one. When are Xbox2 and PS3 coming out? I know the rumors have thrown all kinds of dates around. Is sometime 2005 still the primary answer? I think I read somewhere that it's still late 2005 or possibly even as late as Christmas of 2006. Not much else has been said though.

Thanks Maxx...if they don't port this game to PC I'm going to have to come over and play. I don't think this will be a PC game, for some reason they don't port this to PC like they do for Madden. Either way, I'll be sure to let you guys know how FIU looks. I have no way of taking pictures but i'll try to be as specific as possible. I had the 2003 version before and had to create a team to be FIU. That worked out pretty well because you could get the uniforms pretty close but the logo and everything just wasn't the same.

I have NCAA 2004 and I got the teams pretty darn close and even used U of Houston mascots (they are the Cougars) but it looked pretty similar to our team though and even went ahead and created FAU and used Temple's logo (because they are the Owls also). It was pretty cool because I had stars on my team like Jamie Burke, Nick Turnbull, Rashod Smith, etc. I even took the time to input their weights and heights to get as close as possible to the real thing. Needless to say, I had Rashod Smith winning the Heisman and playing our cross town rivals, UM Hurricanes. I still keep that memory card saved until I can get my hands on the real game with the actual team in it. I can't wait.

Good news, I found a video that shows a bit of FIU and it looks good. I took a screen capture of the video that someone posted which occured after someone simulated a season and the game shows the all conference teams for each conference. FIU is considered a I-A independant in this game and as you can see, a couple of players made the all conference team. Also, from what I can tell on the picture on top, they have our uniforms very accurate. Check it out: Padrick, Leath, and McKinney (I don't remember who #81 is) all made the independant all conference team. If you want to watch the whole video you can download it here (Right Click, Save as): www.baseballgaming.net/ncaa05/MOVIE005.wmvIf you're watching the video, the FIU part goes by fairly quickly which is why I took the screen shot for you guys.

Hey Maxx, Thanks for posting the screenshot. It looks like its going to be the real deal. I'm already saving to buy a playstation 2.
This is the best news in years.
Now we just got to work on getting into the B-ball game.
