Don, Unrestricted Free Agents?
Don, are you signing any UFA's? Its college transfer time as we see players from other programs transferring to get more playing time, for academic reasons, or they want to be closer to home. They would have to sit out a year of course, which would give them time to get their grades up; however, this would a great place to come. We are a young and up-and-coming program! Who do we see coming here?

I guess what you mean by UFA's are college transfers and the sort. That's a very good question, but I think that's a question to ask in the coach's radio show on Wednesdays (Is it still running year-round?). I would say, that if having to sit our one season, then a position we could wait on would be wide receiver. Harold Leath will be a Senior this year. I'm not sure what McKinney wil be, since he now appears in the Spring prospectus as a Junior, but last season was listed as a Junior as well. I did read somewhere that the Miller twins from Louisville were reportedly coming to FIU as transfers. Both of them are defensive backs, who played HS two years ago at Palm Bay.
Another issue of other "new" players are those signed but not released to the press and the "invited" walk-ons to the team. For example, last year neither Chandler Williams, Johnathan Taylor, nor Keyonvis Bouie's names were released to the press as being part of FIU's teamprior to the season, yet all of them were "impact" players and big-time contributors last season.
Now, this year we signed 26 originally, then added Ben Reynolds a bit later on for a total of 27 freshmen signed in the signing period. I read somewhere that Rubbenz Richard, a DL from Piper (I think) is also coming to FIU (his brother will be a senior this season in HS and ranked among the top 100 or top 50 in the state!). There might very well be others who, either got a scholarship, or will walk-on to FIU as freshmen next season that we haven't heard "officially" of.
Anybody heard anything at all? Those of you in the Miami area maybe can ask Strock directly in his radio show....or those of you with some kind of "insight" can post it here as well.
