I think that the fact we can have Alums in the media, writing about FIU and giving FIU good press would be enough to put the Journalism school toward the level 1.

I think it's important to keep the School of Journalism not only because it's an additional school but because they are the ones running the media, and don't we want our grads running the media to exemplify FIU on the media? I think it'd be dumb of FIU to drop the School of Journalism.

I don't think they would drop the majors, they would just assign them to different Colleges instead of a stand alone School of Journalism. FIU would still be graduating Journalism students, however, I think resources would be less and the focus of the administrators would be diminished since it would be under an already large umbrella (liberal arts).

This is insane, our J school is well known through out the country and within Hispanic media its recognized as the best there is.
