Well, I'll tell you one thing that's changed, we finally beat um after having them down...its a good thing TT didn't get intimidated by a huge pitcher to blow the lead.

A sign the world is coming to an end:
a sub-500 FIU baseball teams beats the #1 ranked Canes on their field in the last game of their over 3 decade old series.
The sweet taste of victory gets to linger in the mouth of the panther in perpetuity.
The only thing left for the world to finally come to an end is to have a cane fan come on this blog and actually congratulate the FIU faithful in an act of sportsmanship.
The world is safe.

Great game! The one game we forgot our camera for too! LoL. Great job by the three FIU pitchers in holding the # 1 team in the country to only three runs. Some great timely hitting by the guys too, it could've been more of a blowout if Fuentes doesn't ground into a double play with bases loaded in the top of the ninth. Man it's nice to leave that stadium with a victory, especially after last years really tough loss in extra innings.
TT stuck his hand out first, Jim was going to skip the handshake but after seeing Turtle's hand out there he did shake it. Jim seemed really reluctant to shake it, he almost seemed to try and play it off like he missed him or something.
I must say, REALLY disappointing to see Danny Price's son dressed in UCG gear. I know Danny didn't leave FIU on the best terms, but he gave a large part of his life to the school. Hope Danny wouldn't do the same thing as his son did.

Wow...Are you sure Danny's boy was dressed in canes' gear? That is just ridiculous, and still to this point, sour grapes....geez, get over it...

Oh it was definitely him Fanatic. Danny was no where to be found, his son was there with some other people. At first, he was in neutral colors and by the end of the night he had a UCG shirt.

However, just want to give credit where credit is due. I saw no nasty stuff from their fans or players like at our place last time. Tonight, most fans seemed well behaved and their players didn't seem to do any of those classless things they did last time.

amazing win! So we close down the orange bowl with a win.... we close down our series with a win (while they are ranked #1 in every poll)... these are the key wins that are going to help this program reach the next level in the near future. GO FIU!!!!

GO FIU!!!! Definitely a true statement, we need more like this. September 20th sounds like a great date for the next big FIU win. Also, just reading some Miami fans posts, they are saying that UM played "down" to our level. If you were at either of the games, you know that UM wanted to DESTROY us. This is a midweek game that they went all out for and we beat them. Fact is, last night, we were the better team, even Jim Morris admitted it in the Herald article. Another guy blamed it on their midweek pitching, last I saw, that was our midweek pitching as well.

This is great.
Hopefully this gets some media attention and some butts in the seats both for baseball and football games.
