IS that an actual chain linked fence around the cat walk? They're really going for that "cage" look aren't they...maybe a softer fence or railing would be more aesthetic but it is The Cage.

I've seen it from up close and it definitely does not look like chain-link fencing. I think it's bars and railings but no chain-linking.

I had the same comment about the fencing, but hey......Also, once again thank you yipee!! We do appreciate these type of updates. I wonder if the new fieldhouse designs are complete...or complete enough to start building, since it hasn't started yet, and it should any day now....It's looking beautiful, and I can't wait to see it wth the west end zone/fieldhouse addition.... Also, I'm sure taking recruits to this site will definitely do wonders, as it isn't a pie in the sky...it is where some of them will play their college careers at.

There is a normal fence on the outside part of the bowl. You can see it is covered in green tarp for some reason. The inside are just bars. So it is really just a fence obviously so nobody would fall and roll off the stadium. haha Glad I can get the pictures. I have to keep some of you out of towners updated!

I drove through campus the other day. The structure is impressive and for once, construction at the university is right on schedule, maybe even ahead.

This is great and something to hang our hat on. I can't wait till the fieldhouse is finished. Did you see the mention of 16/17 oral commitments already received, wish we could see who those are. Also, the 2 big additions, the fieldhouse and the new replay board, should put the finishing touches on the first phase of the stadium.

here are some random FIU construction pics.... what are they doing to the rec center... are they already expanding it to phase 2? They closed down the street in front of the football field... Are they just doing underground tube work? expanding the front? dunno Here are is a pic of the section they just finished.

Yep...thank you guys for the pics....It seems (that would be my guess) they are getting everything ready "underground" for the new fieldhouse and to connect to the others from the northwest on.....

I was wondering what they were doing over at the gym. And like FIUFanatic said, the construction on the road is probably just electrical, plumbing, etc connecting to the rest of the campus buildings underground. Thanks for the photos!
They're also widening the exit from the Red Parking Garage onto SW 8th St, preparing it for the construction of the new parking garage on the opposite side.
GO PANTHERS!

Have they started work on the west end zones, Panther Club or locker rooms?
